Study at your own pace, with 24/7 access to all of our expertly created learning materials. This includes recordings of taught sessions and a vast library of relevant articles and studies through our online learning platform and through CMI Direct.
Throughout your learning journey you will have access to an expert Management & Leadership Tutor who will provide support through coaching sessions, additional lessons and assignment feedback.
Each unit, or part, of the qualification is assessed with a written submission known as an assignment. We support our learners to complete these with confidence.
You have three options, built around what you need:
Award - 1 unit. This is a thorough introduction to First Line Management, ideal for those who want results and outcomes fast. This route will take about 1 month to complete
Certificate - 3 units. Further development of the basic introduction in the Award. This is ideal for those who want a broader understanding and basis of the topic. This route will take about 3 months to complete
Diploma - 7 units. This level of content and learning allows you to develop comprehensive expertise and knowledge of the subject area. Perfect for those who want to know as many aspects as possible for application in the workplace. This route will take about 6-9 months to complete
The CMI Level 3 First Line Management & Leadership qualification is designed for individuals who are already supervising others or stepping into a more formal leadership role. It builds the practical, people‑focused and operational skills needed to lead teams confidently, manage resources effectively, and contribute to organisational performance at a higher level.
